I think it's really important to invest in "passion projects"- those projects where I get to really indulge my creativity and make a shoot exactly what I want it to be! This shoot was so fun and such a labor of love. I worked with Amy at All Things Planned to bring my vision to life and together we really created something special!
Amy is a dear friend that I met when she joined our department at Texas A&M. She has since moved on to bigger and better things in Austin, but we've kept in touch and I was honored when she asked me to shoot her wedding! Brian is kind, creative, and deeply loving, and I am so happy Ames has found someone who treasures her and realizes how special she is. They got married at Paul Davis Park in Garden Ridge, TX, near her grandmother's house. I wasn't sure what to expect when she told me they were going to be married at a park, but oh my gosh- this park has the most beautiful old oak trees and a fun forest-type area, and a couple of fun bridges. It's so easy to feel transported to another world! You can see Amy's favorite photos from their day here.
This post is waaaaaay overdue, but I had to share this wedding! I was second shooting for the always lovely Tara of The Light Co. Check her out if you're in Austin - I love working with her!
This was one of the most beautiful weddings I've been a part of! It was a hot but gorgeous summer day at the beautiful Le San Michele in Buda, TX, just outside of Austin. This place is like something out of a Tuscan dream. Everywhere I looked there was texture and light and color- so pretty!
